Case study: Setting standards for English Partnerships
Client: English Partnerships
English Partnerships (now part of the Homes and Communities Agency) required a set of sustainability standards and targets to be developed and piloted on 6 of their regeneration sites. The targets were to be ambitious, but achievable with a view to providing a benchmark for all future English Partnerships (and now HCA) sites. BioRegional devised stretching targets, with guidance, set within the local context of the particular regeneration project in the following areas:
- Operational waste
- Construction waste: demolition and during construction
- Materials: recycled materials, locally sourced materials, certified materials
