Sarah comes from a nursing background and has completed an Honours in Nature Conservation in South Africa and Masters in Environmental Science at London University.
She started work with BioRegional on a volunteer basis in 1997 and worked with Sue Riddlestone on the MiniMills project in its infancy before returning to Cape Town for consultancy work in 1999 / 2000. On returning to the UK she had her first daughter before returning to BioRegional to work on the Local Paper for London and Surrey schemes respectively till 2003. She had her second daughter and then joined the One Planet Communities programme at the end of 2004.
Sarah returned to South Africa in August 2007 to set up BioRegional South Africa in Durban as its own entity. She enjoys being part of the new South Africa with all of the positive challenges that this entails.
