Skoll Award for Social Entrepreneurship

In 2009 BioRegional's co-founders, Sue Riddlestone and Pooran Desai, were awarded this prestigious accolade.

One Planet Products, Sustainable Procurement Award

In February 2008, BioRegional's One Planet Products initiative won in the Sustainable Procurement category of The City of London Corporation’s Sustainable City Awards.

Sustainable Business Award

In 2008, BioRegional won the Sustainable Business Award at the South London Business Awards.

BioRegional Consulting, Sustainable Consultant of the year

In November 2007, BioRegional Consulting won the sustainable consultant of the year award at Building magazine’s Sustainability Awards.

BioRegional MiniMills, Invention of the year

In June 2007, BioRegional MiniMills (UK) Ltd won Invention of the year at the Observer Ethical Awards.

BioRegional TreeStations, Ashden Awards for Sustainable Energy

In June 2006, BioRegional won an Ashden Award for Sustainable Energy for its TreeStation project – a ground breaking renewable energy project which turns wood waste into renewable energy.

Banksia, International Award

In 2005, BioRegional won the prestigious International Award from the Banksia Environmental Foundation, Australia.

BedZED, special commendation

In September 2004, a special comendation was awarded to BioRegional and the BedZED team, by Bremen's Senator for Construction, Environment and Transport.

In June 2004, BioRegional MiniMills won a HGCA Enterprise Award.

BedZED, Civic Trust Award

In March 2004, BedZED won a civic trust award. The award promotes sustainable architecture and construction.

BedZED, short listed Stirling Prize

In October 2003, BedZED was short listed for this prestigious national architecture award.

In March 2003, BedZED was a finalist in the Deputy Prime Minister's Award for Sustainable Communities.

In 2001, Beddington Zero Energy Development (BedZED) won a UK Solar Award for its inspiring use of renewable energy.

In January 2002, BioRegional MiniMills won an Asian Innovation Award, from the Far Eastern Economic Review.

In 1997, BioRegional Charcoal Company was chosen as one of the eight examples of best practice in sustainable development from around the world and presented at Earth Summit 2 in New York.
