Introduction

BioRegional has worked in China for several years, most recently with China Merchants Property Development (CMPD) in Guangzhou to progress work on their Panyu project masterplanning. CMPD are one of the largest property developers in China with a strong track record in sustainable development, having completed China’s first LEED Silver development in 2005.

BioRegional has also produced an outline SAP for CMPD's Panyu Jinshan Project - a 5,000 home development that will include a business park, retail and community facilities.

We are now working with Chinese universities, institutes and companies to prepare a guide explaining how the One Planet Communities concept can be cost effectively used in China to build a nationally and internationally recognised demonstration project.

Our next objective is to find a municipal government in China to work with our team to host the construction of a One Planet Community.
